I love to resurrect old things, and here is one of those old things just in time for the snow to fly. cool.gif

I just got done putting the new engine on this single stage snow blower, and MAN I am liking the way it picks up and goes. The funnest part of my hobby is, to me, naming my toys. I call this one 'lil Stain', since it peed a little on my driveway (you can see it in the background) while I was working on it wub.gif

Although you can't read the main plate behind the chute tiller, it says 'Moto-Mower' .
It was apparently made in Indiana and is about as old as me, if not older. I'm hoping to get some real snow throwing action out of it come the winter .

Some of the other old wrecks I've rehabbed can be found here http://home.comcast.net/~rdbar814/mi_snowblower.html

The Craftsman listed there was named 'the Beast', and it finally kicked the bucket when its rear axle snapped into so many pieces that all the kings horses and all the kings men couldn't have put it back together again. It sure took me by surprise unsure.gif since that thing is REALLY heavy duty.

The two wheel tractor you see there got no name, unfortunately, as its byline states, was stolen shortly after the 2 years I put into rehabbing it which really steamed me up fordaspire/angryfire.gif
It has been gone almost 2 years now, but I still think if I ever find the guy that took it for sure, I'd like to help him out on his way , i.e. fordaspire/blackeyebanana2.gif

So what all hobbies do you have ?

I am a big time Battlefield 2 player, I love that old game! It really never gets old since its a different game every time you play.

I also like small form factor PCs, I have a HP DC7100 SFF that I use at home. I even have low profile cards for it. I also have a stack of vintage PCs including a Compaq Professional Workstation 6000 that cost 10,000 back in the day. Its not doing much these days, but early on it hosted the image gallary here.

My Thunderbird, family, college and the house keeps me busy.

Heh, pc's and pc games are also in my hobby list (for the winter months mostly now). I still have the first one I ever reassembled, an IBM pc xt (whoa, the SPEED BABY ) complete with its Hercules graphics card and 2 (thats right, not 1 but TWO baby) 5 1/4" floppy drives ! AND a 900 baud modem (after market, of course) and a real life RGB monitor ! You say you have 32 million colors? Well I have 8 bit graphics BABY oh YEAHHHHHH ! biggrin.gif

The only pc I didn't assemble for myself I also still have, a 1988 Macintosh Plus, in all its glory with 2 whole megs of ram and full black and white monitor BUILT IN ! YES!! A TRULY portable full desktop pc with graphics glory in 9 whole inches of screen real-estate !! And a truly advanced 3 1/2" floppy drive for more storage than the IBM had on BOTH of its floppy drives PUT TOGETHER !!!

And they still work !! I've had a lot of systems over the years, but those two really are my favorites and have stayed with me despite constant pleas of mercy to get rid of them by my wife so she can claim some of the wall space back. I just look her DEAD IN THE Eye and say " hey, they are good for parts if I ever need em..."
